'Hanna' s First Picture & New Plot Details

A while back I reported about the upcoming spy/assassin badass film Hanna. Directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice) and staring Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana. And now it looks like Focus Features has released the first picture from the flick.

Welp, from this picture, we can deduce two things:
  1. It's really fuckin' cold wherever the hell she's at.
  2. She can shoot arrows; and that's damn cool son.
Lest we not forget, this girl was merely 13 years old when she received her nom for Best Supporting in '07 in Atonement. Working with Wright, he honed and shaped and guided her towards accolades and acclaim. And it was awesome, so I have no reason to think the same won't happen here, maybe not Oscar caliber, but simply something stupendous, and you can take that to the bank and cash it son. Watch... you'll be seeing things my way soon enough. And I'm not even getting into the fact the Cate "The Great" Blanchett is on board, or the terrific Eric Bana. We've also got some new details this time around with a better picture painted of what we'll see in the film. The plot is as follows:
"Hanna  (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a solider; these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Sweden. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity."
As I said, I'll be keeping you tree-readin' suckas posted on anything new involving this project.
'Cuz I'm REAL stoked about it.

Munki Out.
