Destino

I was going to try and spin a little song and dance piece about how the loveliness and whimsical spirit of someone is released and brought to life in the beauteous nature of their love of life and art and being in love with love and in love with happiness or just the ideas of said natures and wanting the break free moments of ect, ect, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada, ksajdfn;laskjfh lksf ;lksfja ;lksjadf lkjdsflaj. . .

(Purses lips like a fucking horse.)

But fuck that idea. Dali' does not need my literary drivel for a lead-in.

A Review: Toy Story 3

As a film critic/analyst, I understand I have to be open to all types of cinema, I am. But last night, I was in no mood for Toy Story 3. Due to my friends' request we ended up going to see the 3D adventure, in actual 3D, and guess what? I friggin' laughed more than a few times, and then, I must admit, I even grew a little sad once or twice.

Tom, Joan, Tim and the rest were quickly welcomed back into my mind for the 103 very wisely spent minutes. Here is my acclaim for the 15 year old franchise installing it's last figurehead on the mantel that is Pixar's flagship.

A Review: Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time

Roger Ebert, or, The Rog as I like to call him, tell us:
"...Serves as an excellent illustration of my conviction that video games will never become an art form -- never, at least, until they morph into something else or more."
He was talking about Hitman, which he went on to approve. 3 out 4. But this movie, is no Hitman. It's something much, much, worse: A video game shot on film... As bad or good as it sounds. That's what we get for 116 minutes.

French up-and-comer Astrid Berges-Frisbey has recently been cast as a mermaid in the yet to be On Stranger Tides. I told you about how they sent out a casting call, suspiciously pointing to what could have been mermaids.

The cast in certainly shaping up, with a few more added to the cast recently.

The film look like it could be getting lensed come May or June. Here's hoping we get some sweet sets pics.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Strangers Tides is currently set for a May 20, 2011 release date

Update On Pirates 4 News, Mermaids?

Is that, what was... a damn mermaid?

That's one thing that never occurred to me, the entire franchise has gone mermaidless. Shit son. That's like having sex with a condom, I mean, without a condom. Uh... I mean, never mind....

Reports will have it that the latest piece of casting news from On Stranger Tides is looking more intresting the usual, as far as the particulars of the females requirements...
Beautiful Female Fit Models. Must be 5′7-5′8, Size 4 or 6 – NO BIGGER OR SMALLER. Age 18-25. Must have a lean dancer body. MUST have real breasts. Do not submit if you have implants. This is a show and tell of costumes with the director and the producers. Plan on an entire day of trying on clothes and being photographed.
Professional Dancers who are Swimmers. Females ONLY. Age 18-30. All ethnicities. YOU MUST have an extensive dance/swimming resume. We will be shooting in Hawaii.
So does that say mermaids to you? Or extremely fit and water trained random hot bitches?
Here's to some fish-tail-chicks on Imax 3D!

On a related note, I couldn't help but think of Zoolander. Let's revisit shall we?

Hiho Silver! Awaaaaay!!

Clooney = The Lone Ranger
Depp = Tonto

Yes, Disney is getting the ball rolling with yet another monstrous, gawdy Jerry Bruckheimer project, The Lone Ranger.

The Lone Ranger's origin story begins with a group of Texas Rangers chasing down a gang of outlaws led by Butch Cavendish. The gang ambushes the Rangers, seemingly killing them all. One survivor is found, however, by an American Indian named Tonto, who nurses him back to health. The Ranger, donning a mask and riding a white stallion named Silver, teams up with Tonto to bring the unscrupulous gang and others of that ilk to justice.

Depp has been attached to the project for some time now. Sitting patently, waiting to drop another couple of mili's into the bank to be a Native American side kick. But it looks like Clooney was deal closer that got the announcement to be made and things official. Clooney, is certainly a throw back to he Golden Age of film and will be ideally placed in this film.

The Lone Ranger, owned by Classic Media, began life as a 1930's radio show. it's popularity led to movie serials, TV shows, comics strips and books, toys, novels, and more.

We shall see what comes of this. No production date has been announced, no director, no script is in place yet (although I'm sure they have something to go off of). I heard they wanted this another tentpole for a few summer's most likely leading to a trilogy, and granted Clooney can stay in shape and keep his facial skin tight enough for it.

Now listen to this dude blast out the classic phrase.

Arr! Me Maties! I Spot Me A Hottie!

First, let's just give it up to Penelope, for being such truly beautiful woman.

Second, let's give it up for her being as good an actress as she is gorgeous.

Third let's give it up for her ditching her recent link to Lars von Trier's in-the-works film, Melancholia. Oh there was a reason. She's booking Pirates 4 bitches.
