A Preview: The Last Airbender

M. Night Shyamalan. He's inventive. He's successful. He's even proved that one bad film doesn't mean you can't make a few more of 'em. But now, after whatever reason people in chairs think that his films are worth it, he's doing it again. But this time it's different. Let me explain. Shyamalan came across Avatar when his daughter wanted to be Katara for Halloween. Intrigued, Shyamalan researched and watched the series with his family. "Watching Avatar has become a family event in my house ... so we are looking forward to how the story develops in season three," said Shyamalan.

You can see from the teaser and Super Bowl TV spot that he put a lot of his and his family's love into the film.

The Teaser.

The Super Bowl Spot.

It's obvious he was trying to make his family proud every day by pouring in all his enthusiasm and inspiration. I have no doubt he will succeed with no silly twists to come in an take away all the credibility from the film this time around. How wonderful Nickelodeon must have felt to hear M. Night wanted to turn the cartoon and three picture deal. From what I see here, he's trying to Batman Begins this shit up and looks like he might succeed and bring home his only critical acclaim since '02's Signs. Which was absolutely terrific and you'd know that if you follow my stuff.

Here here! I'm completely excited about the film.  This coming at you July 1st.

Munki Out.
