Megan Fox Says 'Fathom' Movie Will Happen
I heard some very quick and quiet rumblings of this a while ago, but now here's some light at the end of the tunnel for you guys on the comic book adaptation.
Fox Atomic's comic book based underwater adventure created by recently deceased artist Michael Turner, follows a young woman named Aspen who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water. Really? Eh... maybe this won't be so cool. We'll just have to wait and see.
Keeping you posted.

A Review: Killers
Considering this director, I'm not really surprised by what I just saw. Robert Luketic is the directorial equivalent to drinking a glass of water spiked with Visine.
When you hear that Ashton Kutcher is staring in a film, where he plays a unnamed agency, uh... agent, who marries Heigl, who doesn't know he is one, and then goes on some sloppy adventure with him, becoming his suedo-side-kick in the process... What do you think? Good action-comedy, bad action-comedy? Shit? Terrific? Drivel? Yes ma'am?
I'm not here to say, but I do get paid (wishful thinking) to state my own opinion of what I think and feel after viewing a film, or movie. In this case, I do not believe I saw either, but a disaster akin to a motorcycle smashing into a car, or even, that kid who got blasted in the face by the unknowing break dancer. Yeah... That's how I feel. This film is like a swift kick to the chin. Only the kick keeps kicking you again and again, for 100 fucking minutes.
And then it's over.
But wait! There's more!
A Review: The A Team
I didn't grow up with the original A Team on TV, but I've come to understand through various research that this movie captures the direct spirit of the series, and in that respect, it wins big. At least, because in this day in age, so many people get it wrong when they re-hash some old stuff. The focus of the original's and it's intentions are lost. But not here apparently, for better or for worse. Guess what, for better....
But wait! There's more!

Joie' De Vivre On Celluloid: Crank
You have to give the guys (writer/directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor) credit. They understand their script, and with that understanding, they saw the approach couln't be one that takes the film too seriously. Trying to present the film as some kind of thrill-a-minute, actioner, would have been fatal without it's humor, very dark humor in deed, but very good stuff none-the-less.
But Wait! there's More!
Pooping Penguin Toy Candy Dispenser
I dedicate this video, to a most smelly, a most hairy, most fat, and of course a very Mexican chick that I happen to know. (And her very great... Well, everything below her waist line is great, actually)

Michael Fassbender To Choose Between Two Comic Books
Michael Fassbender struck me in 300, where he played the dude, laughing under the falling arrows. There were a few little things he did, when holding himself on screen, that really shouted out, "I'm ready to work son! See how seriously I take my roles?" So I like seeing him when I run into him. Good thing for Michael, that Simon Pegg had Star Trek to deal with, which is how he landed Lt. Archie Hicox in Inglourious Basterds. He's in Eden Lake, a good horror film, and Fish Tank, a family drama/coming-of-age story. Both are British films, which is a plus, cause (at least for me) that stuff is hard to find in good form.
Anyway, he's been taped to play Magneto in the upcoming X-Men installment, X-Men: First Class, helmed by Matt Vaughn of Kick Ass fame. First Class is exactly what it sounds like, the beginning of the X-Men, and how Magneto and Pro. X became enemies.
James McAvory has already been cast as a younger Professor X and word around the bend is, VIA /Film that Fassbender is up for Magneto. They have already begun location scouting in Michigan, going for a "1960’s, South-American or Central American island feel".
That all sounds awesome, but Michael's got a problem. He's also been offered a role as the main bad-ass in the upcoming Spider-Man Reboot. No word on who it is, for sure. But Bleeding Cool is reporting to the inter-web, that The Lizard is the next guy in line for film treatment from the Spider-Man villians gallery. It seems that it would make s whole lot of sense, they had him primed and ready for take off, with two films with app. by Dr. Curt Conners. Sucks Rami never got off the ground with that. Although, I'd like to see the next set-up with Conners in more than one film before his transformation, I'll take the lizard straight-up if they feel they're gonna do it like that.
What say you tree-readin' suckas? Good? Bad? magneto? The Lizard? Fassbender? Chicken or Steak? (Sorry dinner plans)

3 Reasons Why Tom Cruise Is Cooler Than You
He has a truly gorgeous daughter with clothes that cost more than a large down payment on your car. He's got a smokin' wife with newly added Broadway credits and lovely cozy life with the man of her dreams (3rd time's the charm?), And of course, a truly respectable career (thank God [not his] that's settled again). With Sunday night's Les Grossman dance off with J-Lo and her booty at the MTV Movie Awards/Twilight Fan Fest, it looks like Cruise it truly back in the saddle with his career hitting high notes again. Like it used to be all the time. He's back son! Respect his conglomerate. He's powerful, he might be the best paid actor around period. He's very, very good in front of the camera. Period. He can draw a huge numbers and then please the crowd on top of it. And then, just when you thought you knew him, he dawns a fat suit and balding wig, and throws you something fresh, and most importantly, funny.
As an actor myself, studying theater and film for years now in school, I have a most grand appreciation for this man. I have a respectable collection of his films, and have studied him intensely, watching the way he releases his lines, and holds himself with his characters. His film presence is important to me, as well as many others. The way his swag flows into the camera, and the strings he pulls for himself behind it, is a way of saying, "I'm raw, and this is why."
But wait! There's more!

A Review: Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time
Roger Ebert, or, The Rog as I like to call him, tell us:
"...Serves as an excellent illustration of my conviction that video games will never become an art form -- never, at least, until they morph into something else or more."He was talking about Hitman, which he went on to approve. 3 out 4. But this movie, is no Hitman. It's something much, much, worse: A video game shot on film... As bad or good as it sounds. That's what we get for 116 minutes.
