Let The Right One In is a 2008 Swedish film about two pre-teens growing up in a shady apartment complex. The boy, constantly bullied and finding himself alone, one night has a chance meeting with a young girl and they slowly become entirely inseparable. But he begins to find out, what he doesn't initially know, is that his new friend is a vamp son. (I smell a 4 banana review coming on...)
But Wait! There's More!
But Wait! There's More!
Of course with a film this good, we had to steal the idea (which is what we do best with International film). With Matt Reeves coming aboard from his Cloverfield fame to helm the project. Responding to the international criticism of the remake, Reeves had this to say:
"I can understand because of people's love of the original film that there's this cynicism that I'll come in and trash it, when in fact I have nothing but respect for the film. I'm so drawn to it for personal and not mercenary reasons ... I hope people give us a chance."
Let's see what he does with it. He was initially against the project. Feeling the need to touch to the film was completely unnecessary.
Here are the first three photos dropped of the film. Chloe Moretz is playing Abby (the vamp). And Kodi Smit-McPhee as Owen. Matt Reeves is also pictured below on set.
And just to give you an idea of what Reeves is up against, here's the trailer from the Swedish original. (Some assbag disabled the embed option.) It's nothing fancy, but if you've got the right kind of film eyes, you'll gt a little more than a smile on your face waiting to bit torrent/Netfilx the shit out of this.
Munki Out.
