Marion Cotillard Not Sure About Catwoman?

Wooop Woop! Keys to my jeep! I just felt like typing that out of excitement for Catwoman news. This confirms a suspicion I've had for a while now, that if we hear someone turned it down, then we at know that CW's in.

Via Scriptflags from the heads up on BoF, Cotillard was reportedly offered the role and didn't jump at it because of Scheduling concerns, once you sign a contract, your in. But she apparently just wants to make sure she can fit everything in is all.

ComicBookMovie.com (who has since taken down the post, Hmm. . .) reported from a source they had, a former WB intern, saying this (In Catwoman purple):
“… was apparently told today by someone they met during that time that the actress has been approached by the studio to play either Selina Kyle or Talia al Ghul.

They went on to tell me that Cotillard has had to turn down the offer as of now as she’s unsure whether the planned shooting start date of the next Batman movie will clash with other projects she’s either interested in or already committed to, despite the fact that she’s reportedly keen to re-team team with Christopher Nolan.”
Oh yeah? Well well, now. What did I say?! She's in suckas! How can she NOT be? This Catwoman we're talkin' about here, and Nolan wants a Magnum Opus trilogy, you get that by delivering on the demands of the fans and then doin' it justice. Warner Bros. is evidently very pissed about htis getting out btw. Which leads to it being more credible. Back in June I gave you this piece. The newest news I had on Catwoman's alleged appearance in the upcoming installment. News from a trusted source, the most trustworthy one there is really regarding all things concerning Batman in the movies.

Among the names around, Cotillard has been circling along with Jolie (which won't happened cuz of the obvious typecasting) and Rachel Weisz for years now. Then the Emily Bunt thing popped up not too long ago around the casting of Captain America.

There's a few choice actresses out there that can play the iconic comic book baby, and thank god all the names that hold weight are actually talented, really talented actually. I'd be as happy as a flea on a dog's tail with any one of them stepping in. Cotillard seems like an odd fit, mainly because she has an accent to get over if she wants to be from Gotham City. But that's fixable with an actress of her caliber. Or maybe they're taking Selina in a differnt direction? Risky move if you ask me. She's more than qualified though to handle everything Selina Kyle is. Inception is proof enough, but check out Public Enemies or Nine if for some reason you need further convincing.

Which simply means you're plum dumb, my son.

Keeping my promise and keeping you tree-readin' suckas posted.

Munki out in anticipation.
